Dr. Aritra Pal is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Construction Automation, from National Taiwan University. Before joining IIT Madras, Dr. Pal worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Cambridge and National Taiwan University.
His research focuses on harnessing advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), digital twin, and building information modelling to address complex challenges in construction engineering. Through his work, he strives to enhance the efficiency of construction projects and promote sustainability in the built environment.
Dr. Pal also brings valuable industry experience, having managed large-scale construction projects across India and the Middle East. In addition, he actively contributes to his field by publishing his research in prestigious journals and conferences and serving as an editorial board member and reviewer for renowned academic journals.
Chaitanya Bharech is the Founder of Cognito Consulting, where he helps AEC organizations navigate digital transformation and apply AI to solve practical business and project challenges. With over 12 years of experience across India and the USA, his work spans digital strategy, technology adoption, and the development of custom AI solutions for the construction industry.
He is also the Co-Founder of CTrIBE, a community of ConTech startup founders committed to transforming the construction industry through technology, collaboration, and shared learning.
Based in Delhi, Chaitanya brings together industry experience, technology thinking, and an entrepreneurial perspective to help organizations make meaningful progress in their digital transformation journeys.
Omkar Jedhe brings a strong foundation in core construction practices, complemented by deep expertise in data and emerging technologies. With a rare blend of on-site experience and data-driven insight, he is passionate about driving innovation at the intersection of construction and technology.
At vConstruct, Omkar leads the AI team, spearheading product development and strategic initiatives that harness the power of artificial intelligence to transform construction workflows. His hands-on experience across job sites, construction processes, and data enables him to bridge real-world challenges with cutting-edge solutions.
He is committed to reshaping the construction industry by promoting awareness of the transformative role technology can play. His vision is to empower the sector through intelligent, scalable innovations that improve efficiency, safety, quality and decision-making.
Mandar is a technology and product leader with over 20 years of experience spanning software development, product management, technology, and general management. His career includes working with startups as well as leading technology and product teams across global organizations.
He began his career at Sun Microsystems, working with the team behind the first release of Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), and later contributed to technology startups including Loudcloud and PlaySpan. In India, he helped establish and lead the Digital Center for Big Data at TCS Pune and has worked across product development, digital marketing, and mobile technologies.
At vConstruct, Mandar leads the software team developing applications, automation, and technology products for the construction industry. His experience across software engineering, data, product development, startups, and Construction Technology brings a practical perspective to evaluating AI/ML solutions for real-world industry challenges.
Mandar holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of California and an MBA.
